                               Update

PressureView 4 is available for release/purchase

New features include

  • Create a database from your pressure data in minutes
  • Input/Edit Wizard enhancements with full audit trail
  • Mud profiles can be displayed for multi- as well as single wells
  • Display pressure readings grouped by quality
  • Bulk Loading of data

The functionality and options embedded in previous version has been retained and upgraded with the addition of many new features.

PressureView 3.0

PressureView 3.0 is pressure database and interpretation software that enables you to conduct a pressure analysis, including creation of single and multi-well pressure-depth plots, with power to zoom in and out to interrogate large datasets.

Data input can come from both in-house data records or commercial compilation and data can be retrieved using the advanced search functions available in the Query Wizard.

The new software package, launched at the end of March 2005, features:

  •  Enhanced fluid gradient plotting
  •  Wider range of oilfield pressure types and units including mud weights (ppg, sg)
  •  Plots of overpressure vs depth

Figure 1 Plotting of overpressures only using PressureView 3.0 shows relative overpressures in  multiple reservoirs compartments with increasing depth.

PressureView 3.0 is a major step forward but user-interface compatibility has been retained as far as possible with previous versions.

Key features

  • Draws plots showing the pressure situation underground (or under sea) based on oil well data in the underlying database, which is normally bundled with the product.
  • Plot modes include pressure vs. depth, overpressure vs. depth, single-well and multi-well plots

Figure 2 PressureView 3.0 used to identify fluid type and contacts aiding the link between pressure data and geological processes i.e. hydrodynamic flow in the reservoir.

  • Many ways of selecting well data for display, including Navigator maps and a database query wizard.
  • Ability to edit and add to the data in the database using the Input/Edit wizard.
  • Ability to import and export data in a variety of forms, to help integrate PressureView with your other applications.
  • Snapshot plot of stratigraphy and lithology in single well mode
  • No upper limit to the number of wells plotted

New features

  • All projects can now be saved, preserving both the well list and screen plots.
  • Variable-slope hydrostatic, lithostatic and another 4 lines can be programmed or imported via a spreadsheet.
  • Three main plot display options: Pressure-Depth, Average Gradient-Depth and Density-Depth.
  • Wide selection of display units for pressure gradients and density and depth.
  • Extensive plot annotation features, including adding gradient lines and rotating these, adding text and boxes, and gradient intersection calculations.
  • Three mathematical methods to calculate a gradient

  • Option to plot overpressure only.
  • Display data with Sea Level or Kelly Bushing as datum reference.
  • Chart interactivlty - selection of symbols for data, choice of colour for text, gridline options etc.
  • Portrait or landscape mode.
  • Expanded import and export options.
